"Spoilt us for other places - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Fermette. We chose it because it looked nice in the pictures but found that, in reality, these did not do it justice. The house itself was extremely well equipped: everything we needed was there. The position is very picturesque. The brook which passes just below is interesting and relaxing. The grounds are a pleasure, there was a herb garden just along from our gite and the smell of the herbs was very evocative. Also, whatever time of the day you could find shade or sun which was good.......
It is a good centre to explore the Dordogne. We would certainly recommend it

"I would very highly recommend La Fermette - It is in a very beautiful region of France with dozens of stunning towns and villages within easy drive, and fantastic local cuisine and wine. The cottage is spacious and pretty and next to the river, if you open the windows, you can hear the water gushing past as you sleep. The gardens are beautifully kept and the pool is large enough for adults to have a decent swim in, as well as keeping the kids happy. There is also
a
toddler pool on the side, much appreciated by our 2-year-old."
